1. Overview

With Admin Actions Log extension, you can track and report all admin actions in detail, and also undo settings changes.

  • Watch all admin activities.
  • Allows setting to automatically clear logs within a specific number of days.
  • Allow reverse of changes in Configuration page.
  • Receive a notification email recording every login to your Magento 2 admin panel.

2. How Does It Work?

2.1  Settings

Please go to Stores ⇒ Configuration ⇒ Magehq Extensions ⇒ Admin Actions Log.

In Enabled: choose Yes to enable the module, or No to disable it.

In Manual Logs Delete: You can enable/disable manual logs delete ability.

In Auto Delete Logs: You can enable/disable auto delete logs.

In Log Page View: You can enable/disable page view logging.

In Automatically Clear Actions Logs After Days: You can set how many days would you like to keep action logs.

In Automatically Clear Login Logs After Days: You can set how many days would you like to keep login logs.

In Automatically Clear Page View Logs After Days: You can set how many days would like like to keep page view logs.

In Send email to admin when login: choose Yes to send email to admin when login

In Email Sender: select email sender

In Recipients: Email recipients, separated by commas.

In Email Templates: Email template chosen based on theme fallback when "Default" option is selected.

2.2  Admin Actions History

This grid will have,  Name, Activity Type, Store View, IP, Item and Action columns.
  • Created at: - The exact date and time of the activity performed.
 
  • Name: - The name of the admin.
  • Activity Type: - Type of activity performed
  • Store view: - Name of the store view
 
  • IP Address: - The IP address of the user.
  • Item: - Activity related item such as a product or system configuration changes.
 
  • Action: - It contains view where you can see the key details of the activity such as general and item info.

2.3  View Action Log

The Action Log Details page displays:

  • The general information of the action displayed in the grid
  • A table shows all detailed information about the action, including:

+ Source data (it is the line Magento\Catalog\Model\Product in the screenshot above)

Name column: name of item attributes

Old Value column: the value of attributes before performing the action

New Value column: the value of attributes after performing the action. The changed value is highlighted to realize easily.

Note: The table showing detailed changes in attribute value will be disabled for some action types such as Login, View, Flush, Delete, Mass Delete, Create,...

  • Revert action

This extension allows you to revert actions affecting configs of System Configuration object change in case these modifications are incorrect. Please notice that you can only restore the changes of configs in Store → Configuration.
